Terms of Use

By accessing or using RinkWire, you agree to these Terms of Use and to the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use RinkWire. These terms cover the rinkwire.app website and the RinkWire app, including when the app is installed to your home screen (together, the "Services"). RinkWire is an independent service and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any league, governing body, club, association, or third-party data source.

Who RinkWire is for

RinkWire is a factual sports-information service directed at parents, guardians, coaches, team managers, and hockey fans. It is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13. The RinkWire website requires no account and no sign-in. The RinkWire app requires a free account and a paid subscription, and accounts are for adults 18 or older; see Accounts and RinkWire+ subscriptions, billing and cancellation below. If you are under 18, use the RinkWire website only with the involvement of a parent or guardian.

Unofficial data

RinkWire displays information derived from publicly available websites. While we make every effort to present accurate scores, standings, schedules, and statistics, we make no warranty about completeness or correctness. Official sources remain authoritative for any decision that requires verified data. Do not rely on RinkWire for playoff seeding, registration, eligibility, evaluation, or any other consequential outcome.

RinkWire Power Index and other analytics

RW Power Index, Strength of Schedule, Form Index, Goal Impact, Tier Movement, and other analytical features are RinkWire's own derivations from publicly available results. They are intended as a fan-facing perspective only, not as official rankings, scouting, or evaluations.

Accounts

The RinkWire website requires no account and no sign-in. You can read every score, standing, schedule and statistic on rinkwire.app without telling us who you are, and that will not change.

The RinkWire app requires a free account and a RinkWire+ subscription. An account is for a parent, guardian, coach, team manager, player or fan who is 13 or older. If you are under 18, a parent or guardian must agree to these terms and to the subscription on your behalf, and is responsible for the payments. Creating one asks for your date of birth on screen; the date is checked at that moment and is never stored, transmitted or logged. We ask for an email address and nothing else: no name, no phone number, no postal address, and no password, because sign-in uses a one-time code sent to your email.

You are responsible for the email account you sign in with. Tell us at hello@rinkwire.app if you believe someone else is using your subscription. You may delete your account at any time from the app's Profile screen, which removes your account and everything attached to it.

RinkWire+ subscriptions, billing and cancellation

Read this section before you subscribe. It describes a charge that repeats.

What it costs. RinkWire+ is $4.99 per month for members who join before December 1, 2026, and that rate stays at $4.99 for as long as the subscription remains active and uninterrupted. Subscriptions started on or after December 1, 2026 are $7.99 per month. Prices are in US dollars. Any sales tax is calculated and collected at checkout.

The free trial, and what happens at the end of it. New subscriptions begin with a 7-day free trial. You are not charged during the trial. Unless you cancel before the trial ends, the subscription automatically converts to a paid subscription and your payment method is charged the monthly rate above. We will send a reminder to your account email before the trial ends.

It renews automatically. After the trial, RinkWire+ renews every month automatically and charges your payment method each month, at the rate above, until you cancel. There is no fixed term and no cancellation fee.

How to cancel. Open the app, go to Profile, and tap Manage subscription. That opens your billing page, where cancelling takes one tap. You can also cancel by emailing hello@rinkwire.app from your account address, and we will do it for you. Cancelling stops all future charges. Your subscription stays active until the end of the period you have already paid for, and then simply ends. Cancelling during the free trial ends it immediately and you are never charged.

Refunds. Monthly payments are not refundable once charged, because cancelling at any point stops the next charge and you keep the time you paid for. That said, if you were charged by mistake, charged after cancelling, or charged for a month in which RinkWire was substantially broken, email hello@rinkwire.app and we will refund it. We would rather refund a month than argue about one.

If the price changes. We will email your account address at least 30 days before any price increase takes effect for you, and you can cancel before it does. The December 1, 2026 step from $4.99 to $7.99 applies only to subscriptions started on or after that date; it does not raise the price of an existing Founding Member subscription.

Payments. Payments are processed by Stripe, which acts as merchant of record for RinkWire+ and appears on your statement. RinkWire never sees or stores your card number. Stripe's own terms and privacy policy govern its handling of your payment details.

What a subscription gets you, and what it does not. RinkWire+ pays for the app: game alerts, following teams across your devices, and the app experience itself. It does not buy exclusive data. The scores, standings, schedules and statistics on rinkwire.app are free to everyone and will stay free. Nothing in this section is a promise that any particular league, division or team will be covered, or that data will arrive at any particular speed; leagues publish on their own schedules, and the Unofficial data section above applies to RinkWire+ exactly as it applies to the free site.

License and acceptable use

RinkWire grants you a personal, non-exclusive, revocable license to view and use the Services for personal, non-commercial purposes, including sharing individual scores, standings, and score-card images the app generates. You agree not to:

• bulk-scrape, mirror, redistribute, resell, or systematically extract RinkWire data or pages without written permission;
• use RinkWire data to build a competing dataset or service;
• use any information on RinkWire to harass, stalk, contact, locate, profile, or attempt to identify any player beyond what the leagues themselves publish, or combine RinkWire data with other sources to do so;
• use the Services in connection with gambling or wagering on youth sporting events;
• interfere with, probe, or disrupt the Services, or circumvent any technical or rate-limiting measure;
• misrepresent RinkWire data as official league information, or misrepresent an affiliation with RinkWire.

We may suspend or block access that violates these terms.

Intellectual property

Individual game scores and statistics are facts, and facts belong to no one. RinkWire's selection, arrangement, verification, and presentation of those facts, along with the RinkWire name, logo, RW Power Index, page designs, and software, are the property of RinkWire and are protected by applicable intellectual-property law. League, club, and team names and logos remain the property of their respective owners and are used nominatively, solely to identify the teams and competitions being reported on.

Privacy

Our handling of any visitor information is described in the Privacy Policy. By using RinkWire, you also agree to that Privacy Policy.

Players, parents, and guardians

RinkWire reports names and on-ice statistics of youth athletes exactly as the leagues themselves publish them on their public websites. Reporting factual athletic performance is news and commentary on a matter of public interest, the same activity as a newspaper printing a box score, and courts have repeatedly recognized that publishing athletes' names and statistics in this factual, newsworthy context is protected expression and is not a commercial use of anyone's name or likeness. RinkWire never uses a player's name, image, or statistics in advertising, endorsements, or merchandise, and nothing on RinkWire implies that any player, family, team, or league endorses RinkWire.

None of that changes your family's choice: if you are a player, parent, or legal guardian and want a player's information off RinkWire, email privacy@rinkwire.app with the player's name and team. We honor removal requests promptly, without requiring a reason, and we maintain a suppression list so removed players stay removed when our data refreshes.

Trademarks

Names and logos referenced on RinkWire are the property of their respective owners and are used for identification purposes under fair use. RinkWire claims no ownership of, or affiliation with, any third-party brand.

Copyright and takedown (DMCA)

RinkWire respects the intellectual property rights of others. If you believe content on RinkWire infringes your copyright, send a notice to privacy@rinkwire.app that includes: (1) identification of the copyrighted work, (2) the URL on RinkWire where the material appears, (3) your contact information, (4) a statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is unauthorized, and (5) a statement, under penalty of perjury, that you are the rights holder or authorized to act on their behalf. Valid notices will be acted on promptly. If you believe material you posted was removed by mistake, you may send a counter-notice with the same contact information, the removed material's location, and a statement under penalty of perjury that the removal was a mistake or misidentification. RinkWire terminates access for repeat infringers where applicable. Note that individual game scores and statistics are facts, which copyright does not protect.

Third-party services and links

RinkWire links to third-party services: league websites, LiveBarn, map providers, calendar apps, and others. Those services have their own terms and privacy policies, RinkWire does not control them, and linking to them is not an endorsement. Your use of them is at your own risk.

The RinkWire app

The app stores an offline copy of scores and standings so it works without a signal; offline data is as of your last connection and may be out of date. Calendar exports and share images are generated on your device from RinkWire data; you are responsible for how and where you share them. The app requires no account, and its device-stored preferences are described in the Privacy Policy.

Disclaimer of warranties

THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF ACCURACY, COMPLETENESS, TIMELINESS, MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. RINKWIRE DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICES WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR CURRENT. SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW CERTAIN WARRANTY EXCLUSIONS, SO SOME OF THE ABOVE MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.

Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, RINKWIRE AND ITS OPERATORS, CONTRIBUTORS, AND SUPPLIERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF DATA, GOODWILL, OR OPPORTUNITY, ARISING FROM OR RELATING TO THE SERVICES (INCLUDING RELIANCE ON ANY SCORE, STANDING, RANKING, SCHEDULE, OR STATISTIC), EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, RINKWIRE'S TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATING TO THE SERVICES IS LIMITED TO FIFTY U.S. DOLLARS (US $50) OR THE AMOUNT YOU PAID RINKWIRE IN THE PAST TWELVE MONTHS, WHICHEVER IS GREATER. THESE LIMITS DO NOT APPLY WHERE THE LAW DOES NOT ALLOW THEM, AND NOTHING IN THESE TERMS LIMITS LIABILITY THAT CANNOT BE LIMITED UNDER APPLICABLE LAW.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless RinkWire and its operators from claims, damages, and reasonable attorneys' fees arising out of your misuse of the Services, your violation of these terms, or your violation of any law or third-party right in connection with your use of the Services.

Dispute resolution: please read

Talk to us first. Before filing any claim, email hello@rinkwire.app with a description of the dispute; we will try in good faith to resolve it within 30 days. Most issues, including any request to correct or remove information, are fixed this way in days.

Arbitration and class-action waiver. Except for disputes that qualify for small-claims court or seek only injunctive relief for intellectual-property misuse, any dispute arising out of these terms or the Services that we cannot resolve informally will be resolved by binding individual arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association under its Consumer Arbitration Rules, held in California or conducted remotely at your election. You and RinkWire each waive the right to a jury trial and to participate in a class, collective, or representative action, to the fullest extent permitted by law. You may opt out of this arbitration provision entirely by emailing hello@rinkwire.app with the subject "Arbitration opt-out" within 30 days of first using the Services; opting out does not affect any other part of these terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute not subject to arbitration shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in California, and you consent to jurisdiction and venue there.

Changes

These terms may be updated from time to time; the "Last updated" date above always reflects the current version, and material changes will be noted on this page. Continued use of the Services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.

Severability and entire agreement

If any provision of these terms is found unenforceable, it will be limited or severed to the minimum extent necessary, and the rest remain in full effect. These terms and the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between you and RinkWire regarding the Services. Failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it.
